Provisioning

A completed sales order moves from the sales environment to the provisioning environment for the service to be activated. Fully configurable and automated provisioning workflows then manage the order to be activated. 3rd party logistics is also performed within UNO for delivery of equipment such as routers, handsets, engineering scheduling, warehousing, SIM MIESN pairing etc.

Through the provisioning process workflows within UNO allow for triggering of communications via the KCI module.

All provisioning events are tracked with built in triggers allowing for

  • Abnormalities to be highlighted for remedial actions
  • Monitoring SLAs
  • Raising automated tickets against accounts
  • Progress reports to be produced

Depending on the service being activated the activation sequence will be managed with access provider and visible in UNO. Specialist interface adopters exist for key suppliers such BT, CWW, Strategic Imperatives, Deutche Telecom, Vodafone, O2 and 3 to name a few. The system is designed such that adopters can be easily configured to work with any supplier. UNO is then used to monitor the provisioning process. Services adopters already exist for services such as WLR3, CPS, IDA, xDSL, Mobile.

As provisioning completes successfully and the service is LIVE, billing is setup automatically according to the products and prices agreed within the completed sales order. This include usage tariff, one of charge, rentals and pro-rate calculations. To minimise “bill shock” and help with cash flow, setup and pro-rate charges can be billed immediately. Following this the customer is fully active with little or no human touch since the sale was completed!
