UNO Bill Design
The ultimate goal for us is to provide you with converged and integrated systems that manage various key stages of your business life cycle allowing you to bill your customers accurately and on time. In a fully converged environment our systems are designed to ensure this happens. In a modular approach we work with you to define the rules for the data to be passed to UNO to ensure accuracy and we rely on the upstream systems to play their part in this also. Your bill to the customer is not only an invoice but a medium for communicating with them on a regular basis and therefore provides an opportunity for you to put key messages across to them and you can use it to promote more products. It is the recognition of this dual role of a bill that has driven us to design our bills to strike the right balance between both.
There is little point in delivering a bill that is confusing and doesn’t contain enough information for your customer to recognise the service they are getting and paying for. We recognise that in a combined services bill the data relating to services is a mixed bag and attributes of a product will vary. Getting this wrong or allowing attributes to be missed during order capture stage can result in meaningless and incomplete information being included in a bill thus increasing the debt in query. With this in mind our bill design concept starts at the product setup stages. When setting up the products users must define:
- Front page categories – The category that the product will be shown under such as Broadband, Mobile, IP etc
- Summary front page categories – Further breakdown of the Category useful to group calls under such as national, local, Asia, Northern America etc
- PLU – Chargeable or free part of a package/bundle
- Bundle – The product containing all PLUs and voice rate plans Description to appear on the bills and choice between showing just the bundle name or names of all the PLUs
- Ability to mark product attributes mandatory such as CLI, A-End address, B-End Address, Service Reference (DSL login, circuit ref etc) and Purchase order number.
Our standard bill templates can then be used to display this data or we can work with you to produce a template that suites your requirements. The key point to note is that via the Product setup you will have ensured that key information is always captured and available for presentation on the bills thus making them complete and meaningful and increasing your chances of getting paid within the due date. UNO will handle multiple VAT rates and standard rate can be changed without any programming. VAT exempt statuses and self-bill tax invoices for Rebates with complimentary traffic reports are catered for as standard.
To provide key messages to your customers via your bill you have the choice of 3 messages based on the age of the customer, their current product set and a blanket message for all customers. So for example for new customers you may wish to welcome them to your business and remind them of your services and useful web links. For customers with fixed line only, you may wish to splash a marketing message about your mobile and broadband product inviting them to call in or visit your website for more details.
